David Taylor of Peel Park Close, Accrington, passed away unexpectedly on 27th April 2024, aged 63 years.
From the age of twelve David started to earn his own money working with family in a second-hand shop. He then became a tyre fitter and almost took the opportunity to go to America to become part of a team working with race cars. He then moved around a few jobs and eventually settled at Hyndburn Borough Council, following university and becoming a pest controller.
David’s main hobby was sport, he loved golf, either watching or playing, as well as fishing, playing doubles at badminton and never said no to playing pool or snooker. He also greatly enjoyed going camping with the boys and his family holidays. David also liked going for a cheeky drink on a Wednesday, bar-be-ques in the back garden and being surrounded by his close family and friends, as long as a pint was involved.
He sadly leaves behind his beloved wife Margaret, his much loved four children Sonia, Ryan, Jack and Lee, his treasured eight grandchildren Nat, Melissa, Phoebe, Paige, Olivia, Keegan, Harvey and Aron, also a dear brother of Deborah, Julie, Brian and the late Gayle, and his brother from another mother Ian.
David will be sadly missed by all his family and many close friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10.30am on Tuesday 7th May 2024, at Accrington Crematorium.
Flowers or donations are welcome, with donations being collected in memory of David for the British Heart Foundation c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR.
