Hubert Ward, of The Paddock, Oswaldtwistle, sadly passed away on Friday 10^th November 2023, after a short illness, in the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 93 years.

During his working life Bert worked as a clerk for British Rail and later for National Carriers.

In his younger days he liked travelling and going away on holiday.  Later in life in his spare time and during his retirement he enjoyed watching sport on TV, reading, and attending St Mary’s Church in his home town of Oswaldtwistle and also loved doing activities and spending time with his loving family.

A dearly loved husband of the late Mary Stella Ward, a much loved father of Linda, Alan and Denise, a treasured grandfather of Adam, Natalie, Stephen and Lauren and a cherished great grandfather of Lyla, Phoebe, Freddie and Ben.

He will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.

His funeral service will be held at 10.30am on Wednesday 29^th November 2023, at St Mary’s Church, Oswaldtwistle, prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
