Steven Holden

Steven Holden of Accrington died unexpectedly at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Thursday 19 February, aged 47 years.  Steven was the much loved husband of Sharon and devoted father to Laura and Jake.  He was born and bred in Accrington, attended Spring Hill Primary School and St Christopher’s C of E High School.  He started his working life at G & B Timbers and then moved to Senator where he worked for the last 20 years.  Steven loved the great outdoors, taking great pleasure in walking his dogs Ebby and Molly over the coppice.  One of his greatest passions was fishing which he shared with his brother Ian and he also loved camping with his family at every opportunity.  Steven was an extremely skilled craftsman and carpenter.  Over the years Steven has produced a range of Christmas and birthday presents for his own children and his nieces and nephews, which will be remembered with great joy.  He supported Liverpool FC and enjoyed listening to music and watching documentaries.

Steven leaves behind dearly loved wife Sharon and adored children Laura and Jake.  He was the youngest son of John and the late Barbara Holden and step-mother Hazel. He also leaves behind brothers Neil and Ian and sisters-in-law Tricia, Tina, Lyn and Jacqueline;  brother in law Philip; loved nieces Angela, Olivia, Lucy, Roxanne and Rosie;  nephews Paul, Jonathan, Anthony, Christopher and Wayne; and much loved aunties, uncles and cousins.

Steven’s funeral service will take place on Monday 2nd March at 11.45am at St Augustine’s C of E Church, Bolton Avenue Huncoat followed by a 1.00pm interment at Accrington cemetery.
