Pauline Monks

Mrs Pauline Monks of Nelson Street, Accrington died suddenly at home on Sunday 3rd February 2013, aged 74 years.  She formerly worked as a House Parent at Dyke Nook Children’s Home before becoming a house wife.  She loved animals, particularly show dogs, Rough Collies and Shelties and her cherished cats.  She especially adored Persians and British Short Hairs.  She also greatly enjoyed going on holidays and trips to the theatre.  She also loved her handbags.  The dearly loved wife and best friend of Colin. A much loved  and precious mother of Lesley and Hayley. A treasured grandma to Jon-Paul, Lance, David and Amelia, a loving great grandma to Eva-Bella, and also a dear mother in law to Stephen and Alan.

A funeral service will be held on Monday 11th February 2013 in St James Church, Canon  Street, Accrington at 10.00am, led by Father Lawrence prior to burial at Accrington Cemetery.  Flowers welcome or if preferred donations may be sent for
