Kenneth Tattersall
Mr Kenneth Tattersall of Norfolk Grove, Church, Accrington, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday April 24, aged 84 years.
During his life Kenneth served in the Army as a “Para”, he spent some of this time in the Malayan Jungle. He has also served as a prison officer. Kenneth also owned his own taxi office, Rossensdale Taxis in Haslingden, thirty years ago. He was also a time served decorator.
In his spare time and throughout his life Kenneth has been a member of the Royal British Legion and the Sea Fishing Club in Haslingden. He enjoyed oil painting but most of all he took pleasure in spending the afternoon once a week in his two local pubs, the Spread Eagle and the Last Orders. He also liked snooker and pool.
Kenneth leaves behind his dearly loved wife June, his much loved sons Lee, Ken and Dave, his dear sister Winifred and brother in law Danny, his treasured grandchildren, his nephews and nieces and the rest of his loving family and also his close friends.
“Kenneth will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.”
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 6th May at 9.40am at Accrington Crematorium prior to cremation. Flowers are welcome in memory of Kenneth and may be sent c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, Eastgate Corner, 80 Whalley Road, Accrington. Tel: 01254 390542.
