Josephine Skelton

Josephine Mary Skelton of Cornwall Place, Accrington passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Sunday 1^st February, 2015, aged 75 years.

Josie, as she was known spent most of her working life as a housewife bringing up her loving family. Later in life she greatly enjoyed travelling and going on holidays abroad especially to Marmaris in Turkey with her husband David.  She also enjoyed the occasional trip away to the seaside in Blackpool. Josephine also liked going shopping with her sister Gertrude and was also interested in wild birds. 

Josie was the dearly loved wife of David, a much loved mother of Andrea, Anthony and Andrew, a dear sister of Gertrude and Margaret, a treasured grandmother of Anthony and a cherished great grandmother of Amy, Rachel, Tony and Tyler. 

 Her funeral service will be held at 12.20pm on Tuesday 10^th February, at Accrington Crematorium.  Flowers are welcome in memory of Josephine c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. Tel: 01254 390542.
