David Haworth

Mr David Haworth of West End, Oswaldtwistle, died peacefully in the East Lancashire Hospice following a short illness, on Monday, April 22, 2013, aged 70 years.

During his life David worked as an engineer starting at Holbrooks in Dill Hall, he later went to work for Rothwell’s Engineering in
Church.  He carried on his love for engineering at Ashley’s on Stonebridge Lane in Oswaldtwistle before finally moving to Stuart’s Engineering, Oswaldtwistle as a turner.

He enjoyed socialising with family and friends especially at the old James Street Club in Oswaldtwistle, as well as  Oswaldtwistle Con Club and Clayton Con Club.  He was also a member of Rhyddings Bowling Club.  David also enjoyed his holidays to Scotland accompanied by his family and friends.   He leaves behind his loving wife and soul mate Margaret.

“David will be very sadly missed by all his loving family, friends and past work colleagues.”

 A funeral service was held on Wednesday 1st May at Accrington Crematorium.
