Cyril Scott

Cyril Scott died peacefully on Monday 25^th January 2016, aged 88 years.

Throughout his life Cyril was a dedicated Chief Security Officer at G.E.C until his retirement.

One of his favourite past times was going to the Griffin Pub in Huncoat and the Silecroft Golf Club.  He greatly enjoyed socialising and going for the weekend away to the Silecroft Caravan Park.  He also enjoyed watching sport, especially football, golf and tennis.

A dearly beloved husband of Alice, a cherished father figure of Clint, Benadette, Zhara and the late Clint Jr and a dear friend to Doris. He was also a fun and loving friend of “the younger ones” Curtis, Reece, Oliver and Kalissa.

The children kept Cyril young, especially young Reece who would go and sit with Cyril whilst watching WWE Wrestling.  He would also read the newspaper to them all from them only being a few months old.

Cyril will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.

His funeral service will take place at 1.00pm on Tuesday 2^nd February 2016 in the Cemetery Chapel at Accrington prior to interment at Holden Hall Cemetery.  Family flowers only please but donations are welcomed in memory of Cyril for Sarcoma UK, further enquires please to Paul Barton at Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
