Helen Woodhouse of Broadfield, Oswaldtwistle, sadly passed away on Friday 16th January 2026, aged 80 years.

Throughout her life Helen was a full-time housewife, devoting her time to make an amazing home for her and her husband Ronald.  She also provided a warm and loving home when bringing up her two sons Alan and Graham and then later her granddaughters Emily and Olivia.

In her spare time and during her retirement Helen loved watching her soaps on TV.  She enjoyed reading with Mills & Boon books being her favourite and also loved to use her sewing machine, with her even making school blazers for the boys.

She also loved traveling, especially to the Isle of Man and then when husband Ronald retired, they ventured out on coach trips to Scotland where they enjoyed going to the Edinburgh Tattoo.  She had a great love of Elvis Presley and watching films too.

Helen sadly leaves behind her dearly loved husband Ronald, her devoted sons Alan and Graham, her loving daughter in law Cathryn and her treasured granddaughters Emily and Olivia whom she doted on.  Helen will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12.20pm, on Thursday 29th January 2026, at Accrington Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, with donations in memory of Helen being received for The Salvation Army, further enquires please to Paul Barton of Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR.  Tel: 01254 390542.
