Jean Duxbury

Jean DuxburyJean Duxbury of Dean Court, Great Harwood, died suddenly but peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday 10th October, 2015, aged 81 years.

During her life Jean was a weaver up until having her eight children, she later worked as a head chef at Pleasington Lodge.  In her early years she was a member of the Moorhouse Community Centre.  In her spare time Jean enjoyed making pot dolls but her main love was baking for all the family.

A dearly loved wife of the late Raymond, a much loved mum of Annette, Jean, Diane, June, Fluz, Michael, Stephen and the late Walter, a treasured and loved grandma and also a cherished great grandma.

“Jean will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.”

Her funeral service will be held today (Friday) 16th October, at 10.30am at St Bartholomew’s Church, Great Harwood, prior to interment at Great Harwood Cemetery.   Flowers are welcome in memory of Jean, all further enquires please to Paul Barton, Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
