Jean Duxbury

Jean Duxbury of Dean Court, Great Harwood, died suddenly but peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday 10^th October, 2015, aged 81 years.

During her life Jean was a weaver up until having her eight children, she later worked as a head chef at Pleasington Lodge.  In her early years she was a member of the Moorhouse Community Centre.  In her spare time Jean enjoyed making pot dolls but her main love was baking for all the family.

A dearly loved wife of the late Raymond, a much loved mum of Annette, Jean, Diane, June, Fluz, Michael, Stephen and the late Walter, a treasured and loved grandma and also a cherished great grandma.

“Jean will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.”
