Jacqueline Keen
Passed away peacefully on Friday 8th May, in hospital.
Jackie was born and raised in Blackburn, and was the daughter of Ronnie and Hilda Carr.
She was a Keen Blackburn Rovers supporter attending many matches and was an avid football fan.
She enjoy her holidays and traveled extensively throughout Europe, Greek Islands, Cyprus and the Spanish islands.
Jacqueline and Colin love animals with much loved and pampered Dogs and cats treated as part of the family. She supported Bleakholt Animal sanctuary and gave a home to animals from there too. She also supported the Guide Dogs and North west Air Ambulance charities.
Music, particularly Musical theatre was a great love of hers and she travelled long distances to see her favourite performers.
Jacqueline was a kind and giving person to all with an eclectic mix of friends from school days, old work Colleagues, friends from holidays, musical theatre friends the list is simply endless.
Jacqueline’s presence will be dearly missed by many.

I worked with Jackie for a number of years at Blackburn Royal Infirmary. I loved her sense of humour and her bubbly personality.
My husband and I moved to France, in 2004, so I haven’t seen Jackie for quite some time. We kept in touch by phone. It was always lovely to hear her voice again and catch up on old times.
