Eunice Haworth
Eunice Haworth of Hambledon Mill Park, Accrington and formerly of Laburnum Drive, Oswaldtwistle passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Sunday 19th January 2020, aged 72 years.
Eunice was born profoundly deaf, so in her early years she attended Birkdale Boarding School, in Southport which was a specialist school for children with hearing impairments.
Throughout her working life Eunice worked for various companies these included the Star Paper Mill, Mullards, Rist Wires, M&F Components and also Springhill Care Home.
In her spare time and during her retirement she was a fully active member of the social clubs, mainly the Wellington Bar (Pop Club), the Canine Club and Brookes Club. She was also a regular and familiar face in the Nags Head and previously the Stop & Rest in Oswaldtwistle. Eunice loved music and was an avid supporter and follower of the local artist circuit, as well as a life long fan of Elvis.
A true sun worshipper, she enjoyed many holidays abroad and has travelled all over, but Tenerife was amongst one of her favourite places, often visiting there accompanied by her sister, daughter and friends.
A beloved wife of the late Lawrence, a treasured mother of Sharon and son in law Ray, a much loved sister of Carol, Norman and George and a dear sister in law to Ray, Jennifer and Jean, also a dear Godmother and Auntie to Norman, Mark, Joanne, Marie, Matt and Rosie and a good friend to many.
Her funeral service will be held at 12.30pm, next Friday 7th February 2020, at Accrington Crematorium, conducted by Father Simon Stamp.
