Freda DemainFreda Demain of Aspen Lane, Oswaldtwistle died peacefully at home with her close friends by her side on Saturday 23rd September 2017, aged 82 years.

Freda grew up in Blackburn, but for a time lived with her Grandma in Nottingham, before returning back up north.  Most of her working life was spent working for a butchers in Blackburn, Freda also in the past has been a silver service waitress at The Wellsprings and in her younger years worked in a mill.

In her spare time and more so her retirement Freda enjoyed gardening and walking her beloved dogs, Tinker and Shula.  In the past she also took pleasure in joining her husband Michael, who was a coach driver on his coach trips, together they travelled r throughout the UK and also across Europe.  She particularly loved the cities of Paris and London.

Freda was the dearly loved wife of the late Michael, a dear auntie of Josh and Nathan, and a close and dear friend of May & Paul Edmundson and also Jean, Kathy and Noreen.

Her funeral service will take place at 11.00am on Wednesday 4th October 2017 at Accrington Crematorium.  Family flowers only please, but donations are welcome in memory of Freda, further enquires please to Paul Barton at Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.     So sorry to hear of Freda’s passing .She was a good friend to myself and late husband Terry ( coach driver) .
