Kenneth PounderKenneth Pounder of Alice Street, Oswaldtwistle, sadly passed away in hospital, on Tuesday 1st August 2017, aged 92 years.

Kenneth worked as an aircraft welder at the G.E.C in Clayton-Le-Moors and also for many years at English Electric.

Throughout his life he took pleasure in travelling, especially going away in his caravan, particularly to Crag Bank near Carnforth later on in life and was a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club for many years.  In his spare time he enjoyed walking his beloved dog Lucy, photography, DIY, he kept up to date with current affairs and was a member of the Labour party and helped out the local party by sitting on the polling stations at election time.

Kenneth sadly leaves behind his dearly loving wife Lena, his much loved children Stephen and Julie and her partner Cate, his dear cousin Marilyn, and also a dear uncle to Ronald, Christine and David.

His funeral service will be held (today) Friday 11th August at 3.00pm at Accrington Crematorium.  Family flowers only please but donations are welcomed in memory of Kenneth for the ELHT Charitable Fund c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
