David Eric WhiteDavid Eric White of Westwood Street, Accrington, died suddenly on Saturday 15th October 2016, aged 66 years.

Dave as he was known to his friends led a very busy life and had various jobs both locally and across the UK throughout his lifetime.  These included working as a stable hand at Ashworth’s in Rishton, at Vernon Lodge as an Assistant Warden, for Broughton’s as a driver, a Landlord running the Royal Oak Pub, as a maintenance man at Quenby Prints in Leicester and as an assistant manager at Bishop’s Lodge in Kilburn.  He was also very privileged to work for the High Sheriff of Leicester for a time.

In his spare time he enjoyed visiting Race Courses and liked the occasional flutter usually betting on the losers.  At home he would enjoy doing jigsaws as well as doing car boots and the local market. He also took pleasure in driving to different places.

Dave will be very sadly missed by his life time friend of 44 years Ann and her children Chris and Ginette.

A celebration of life service will take place at 9.40am on Monday 24th October 2016 at Accrington Crematorium.  Family flowers only please but donations are welcomed in memory of David for Cancer Research UK, further enquires please to Paul Barton at Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
