Margaret Ginger

Margaret GingerMargaret Ginger of Church View Residential Home and formerley of Hoddlesden, died peacefully on Sunday 8th February, 2015, aged 89 years.

Margaret had a life time interest and was a loyal member of the Guide Association which is more commonly known now as Girlguiding.  During her life she volunteered as a Brownie Guider in Darwen, Donnington Barracks, Sidcup and lastly Hoddlesden.  Before she married she was also the Guide Captain at St Andrew’s Church in Accrington. She was also trained as a GPO telephonist.   Margaret also enjoyed baking, icing cakes and walking.

Margaret leaves behind her dearly loved sisters, Emily her twin and also her younger sister Pat, she was also a much loved auntie and great auntie.

A service will take place at St Andrew’s Church, Swiss Street, Accrington at 10.45am on Monday 16th February 2015, prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.  Family flowers only please but donations are welcome in memory of Margaret for Guide Dogs for the Blind c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
