Alice Baxendale

Alice Baxendale - 2a ----Alice Baxendale of Beech Close, Oswaldtwistle died peacefully at Pendle Community Hospital after a short illness on Saturday, February, 22, 2014, aged 89 years.

During her life Alice was a hard worker and was originally a weaver, she also worked during the war in the Munitions Factory.  She also worked at John Walsh Plastics in Oswaldtwistle for several years.  Her last job was at Joseph Arnolds Greetings Cards in Church.

Alice greatly enjoyed knitting, she also loved to read as well as go to shows at the Theatre.  She also took pleasure in going on holiday and days out.

A  much loved wife of the late William, a loving mother to Susan, a dear mother in law to Brian and sister to Margaret, and also a treasured auntie.  A funeral service was  held on Friday, February 28, 2014, at 10.00am at Union Road Community Church led by Rev Mike Asbery, prior to cremation at Accrington Crematorium.
